The pictorial expression of Guido Cadorin

ImageThe Querini Stampalia Foundation is hosting an exposition of the works of the Venetian artist Guido Cadorin, organized by Giuseppina Dal Canton, art historian, professor of contemporary art at Venice's Ca' Foscari University.
This is a revisiting of the first exposition of the Master's works, held at the Correr Museum in 1987.
Cadorin, an original, versatile artist, has the merit of having succeeded in giving life to local picturesqueness. He was indeed born into an art atmosphere: his father Vincenzo was a woodcarver, his brothers Ettore and Romeo sculptors, his sister Ida a painter.
Cadorin at an early age became the disciple of Cesare Laurenti.
He displays his works at Ca' Pesaro and at the Biennials. Among his influences are Italian Liberty, Magical Realism and the Twentieth Century current.
