Il 52. Festival Internazionale di Musica Contemporanea si svolgerà a Venezia dal 2 al 18 ottobre. Il programma prevede la partecipazione di 77 compositori per 34 concerti, con 13 grandi ensemble – strumentali e vocali – 3 orchestre, 8 solisti oltre a incontri, seminari e laboratori.
Il titolo del festival, Radici Futuro è il tema di fondo di tutti i concerti ed intende sottolineare la continuità tra passato e futuro, il tema è stato scelto dal direttore Luca Francesconi.

città, oltre alle numerose manifestazioni,

la festa, dalla musica in
città, alle regate, alle cerimonie religiose,
con quel sapore tutto veneziano
tra il sacro e la rivisitazione ad
uso e consumo lagunare di culti lontani
nel tempo, rappresentano dei
punti fermi nell’agenda mentale di
ciascun cittadino del territorio lagunare,
anzi, malgrado il caldo e l’affollamento
è uno dei rarissimi momenti
in cui si ritrova un’unità di territorio,
per cui scatta un orgoglio di appartenenza.

The Film Festival kicks off with the world premiere of Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia, adaptation of the novel by James Ellroy, about the notorious unsolved murder of an aspiring actor in 1940s Los Angeles. The first film screening in in this year's line-up opens the way to several high-tension films based on real-life events, many drawn from American 20th-century history, where we'll see crime stories, played by misterious criminals, dark ladies, intelligence agents.

Se avete voglia di scappare dall'assolata Riva degli Schiavoni, dalle frotte di turisti e di colombi che invadono la Piazza più turistica del mondo, non potete certo perdervi una serata alla festa di San Pietro di Castello, la più grande festa popolare a Venezia. E allora lasciatevi alle spalle la folla che si accalca per fotografare il Ponte dei Sospiri, gli Hotel e i ristorantini in riva degli Schiavoni, superate il ponte dell'Arsenale, non prima di aver lanciato uno sguardo al panorama della laguna, fino all'imbocco dell'unica via di Venezia, punto d'accesso per il sestriere più verace della città: Castello.
