History of Venice
Here's a short history of Venice through the centuries, from the splendour of the Serenissima Republic, with its dogi prestige, its battles for supremacy and its maritime trades with Orient, that made Venice the most rich sea power over Mediterranean Sea during its long empire, to our present-day city, facing the every day difficulties of its nature and its touristic destiny.

Pozzi e vere da pozzo
Per secoli i pozzi sono stati un elemento essenziale della vita quotidiana dei veneziani. La loro abbondanza (si calcola che nei vari secoli abbiano superato il numero di seimila) si spiega con l’impellente necessità di approvvigionamento e di raccolta di acqua dolce. I ponti di Venezia
Venezia sorge su un arcipelago di 118 isolette intersecate da 150 canali e collegate fra loro da più di 400 ponti. Di questi fino ad oggi solo 3 collegano le due sponde del Canal Grande, principale via d'acqua e arteria navigabile della città: il Ponte di Rialto, il ponte dell'Accademia e il ponte degli Scalzi.
