The museum is inside the namesake Gothic Palace, located in Campo San Beneto. Belonged to the Pesaro family, it was then bought by Mariano Fortuny to house hisatelier for photography, scenic design, fabric creation, paintings. The building kept the same structure, tapestries and collection it once had.
The museum has also an exposition area on the noble floor and on the ground floor, dedicated to temporary exhibitions. Inside there are also museum and lab activities. There are remarkable photography collections and it is traditionally the head office for activities linked to visual communication.
