Vogalonga it’s a spring celebration, born in the ’90 thanks to some Venicians, to remember "Serenissima" traditions and to point citizens and authorities attention at the problem of waves’ movement in Venice.

The run starts from San Marco in front of Duke's Palace and it goes on for 30 km around the islands of the lagoon, and then back to Venice through Cannareggio’s Rio.  It
isn’t a real competition but it’s a discovery of the lagoon and its hidden
landscapes. During the last few years the Vogalonga became more and more popular and today over 1500 boats of Venicians and foreigns participate to the run every year.
