From August 26, 2017 through January 7, 2018 the Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents the exhibition PICASSO. On the Beach curated by Luca Massimo Barbero. The exhibition will be installed in the museum’s Project Rooms.

Exclusively for Italy, the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia presents the first exhibition of the paintings of David Hockney, one of the most renowned and influential of contemporary artists.

The Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna di Ca’ Pesaro is hosting the David Hockney – 82 portraits and 1 still life exhibition, brilliantly curated by Edith Devaney, Curator of Contemporary Projects at the Royal Academy of Arts in London and with the scientific direction of Gabriella Belli.

Gli uccelli sono da sempre fonte di ispirazione per l’uomo e si ritrovano nella simbologia legata al mito, al racconto e al canto popolare. Caratteri iconografici comuni che li rappresentano sono presenti in civiltà molto distanti nel tempo e nello spazio. I percorsi disegnati dal volo degli uccelli sono stati utilizzati per leggere l’avvenire degli uomini; lo sapevano bene gli auspici romani, sacerdoti dediti all’ornitomanzia, e i grandi alchimisti che ravvisavano nel volo animale il principio di spiritualizzazione della materia.

The Exhibition offers a route that unfolds over the course of nine chapters or families of artists, beginning with two introductory realms in the Central Pavilion in the Giardini, followed by seven more realms to be found in the Arsenale and the Giardino delle Vergini. There are 120 invited artists from 51 countries; 103 of these are participating for the first time.
