Quando i migranti eravamo noi - rassegna cinematografica Eventi a Venezia

Negli incontri organizzati da Emergency alla Giudecca si è affrontato spesso il tema dei migranti attraverso mostre, documentari, film, libri, dibattiti. I migranti erano/sono quelli che fuggivano/fuggono dalle guerre e dalla povertà per tentare di raggiungere l’Italia e altri Paesi in Europa e qui trovano porti chiusi, muri, respingimenti, discriminazioni, mancati progetti di integrazione.
Ma migranti in un passato non lontanissimo, siamo stati anche noi Italiani: in varie ondate, dal 1870 al periodo tra le due guerre, al secondo dopoguerra, tanti cittadini sono stati costretti ad emigrare in cerca di lavoro e di fortuna. E anche loro hanno trovato porte chiuse e discriminazioni e hanno vissuto sulla propria pelle la solitudine, l’isolamento, la sofferenza.
Quando i migranti eravamo noi: questo è il tema dei nostri prossimi appuntamenti. Lo affronteremo facendo ricorso, come al solito, alle diverse espressioni culturali: dal cinema, agli incontri con storici, alla musica.
